I'm just saying.
I figured I'd go ahead and get this blogged, since the little guy is due ANY SECOND.
These two have been friends of mine since high school. They were dating back then, too. And if I could look up "most likely to get married and have beautiful babies" in the yearbook, it would probably say THESE PEOPLE. I don't know if it really did or not... but we all knew. :)
I'm thinking of you guys this week! I cannot wait to meet the little guy 12 years in the making.

I've actually already shot this newborn session. That's how far behind in blogging I am. When this couple suggested we shoot their maternity session at their home, I had no idea what a fantastic choice it was, until I walked into this...
Be still my interior designing (and pink-loving) heart. I've been pinning wall patterns on Pinterest for months, though never getting around to any of it. Meanwhile, she had created her own stencil and painted it all herself... pregnant. If that doesn't make you feel lazy, I don't know what does! :) I'd say it turned out pretty great! Baby A is going to love her sweet, serene room. I'd say I can't wait to meet her, but I already have! I'm so looking forward to meeting this little guy very soon. He's my nephew, so he's sure to be crazy awesome. ;) This was another session I did while out of town visiting family. It was cold, and we had a party waiting for us inside, so it was quick. I like the way we did it. I like that the backdrop was the family's property at sunset and that Momma J was looking stylish as always and Daddy J was wearing a hooded sweatshirt.... because that's so them. This baby will be the cutest Cabella-wearing boy with the best haircut on the block.
Sending get well wishes to Daddy J as he recovers from this week's emergency back surgery... on Valentine's Day, no less. And the first thing he asked the nurses when he woke up is if the gift shop was open so he could get something for his wife.
True story.
I hope you both all three of you can get back to the comfort of home and hooded sweatshirts very soon!
Anticipation

With toddlers at home, it's fun to have a few minutes away to join in the excitment of a new life getting ready to enter the world. I so remember the anticipation of wondering who that little person is going to be. For this session, we started in the perfectly-boyish nursery, where Dad is putting the finishing touches on model airplanes for the little guy. It won't be much longer!
And can she rock a pregnant belly, or what?
